Our website is free to use, we are proudly independent, and we never take referral fees. Some care homes are registered to provide personal care only, for example help with washing, dressing and giving medication. Others also provide nursing, and will have a nurse on duty twenty-four hours a day. St Breock is a 37 bed residential home for older people with physical health needs or dementia. We care for our residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in a supportive, dignified and calming environment.
Just be aware that we do not provide housing or care services ourselves, so we cannot accept applications for housing and do not have any control over the services listed on our site. Those run by private operators more often focus on lifestyle, with help and care services discretely available to buy if or when required. Our residential and nursing homes cover the length and breadth of Cornwall, with specialisms including dementia and palliative care. The Provider has not yet updated their profile and added details of the services and facilities they offer.
Pendrea House
Mealtimes are an important part of the day and we offer a choice of menu with special diets catered for. This all happens in a relaxed and flexible manner and meals can be obtained at times to suit. Families may stay and have a meal with their relative for which there is a small charge. Meals are made where possible using fresh locally produced products.
These are provided by Cornwall Mobility in partnership with Disability Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. Some of our lovely residents from St Breock went on a trip to Polzeath beach the other day. Most retirement developments offer either properties for sale or for rent, but newer ones may offer both tenure options, and possibly shared ownership too.

St. Breock is a purpose built care home set within lovely grounds close to Wadebridge town centre. Local amenities including doctors surgeries, shops, banks, library and churches are in close proximity. Here at St Breock you will find a warm welcome with friendly staff in a homely environment to cater for your every need. We have 36 rooms 12 of which have en-suite facilities which could accommodate couples. Residents are encouraged to bring some of their own personal belongings to make them feel more at home. We have at present a very old cat called Tiggy and we have regular visits from the petting service.

Lilena Care Homes
We provide care and support for individuals with unique needs, both physical and psychological. Our Community Services team provides Home Care, helping people to remain living independently, as well as Supportive Lifestyles assistance for adults with complex physical and psychological needs. Our staff are very well trained and most have completed their NVQ level 2 and Dementia stages 1 and 2.
The inspector made no statutory requirements on the home as a result of this inspection and there were no outstanding actions from the previous inspection report. Surrounded by quaint Cornish shops and close to the picturesque Camel Estuary, St Breock represents a real community in its own right. Highpoint Lodge is a family run Care Home, in a Victorian House situated near the town centre of Wadebridge. There are 9 single rooms with ensuite facillities and a double room ideal for a couple. Highpoint Lodge offers, day care, respite stays and long term living accomodation. "St Breock is a recommended residential home set in the heart of Wadebridge. We are proud to take care of our residents until the end, with excellent support from our local District Nurses and GPs. We have recently been able to open EAC Advice, a new 'housing options' advice service for older people. Think of them more like full-board hotel accommodation with 24 hour care available. Housing-with-care developments run by housing associations and local authorities tend to be called ‘extra care’ or ‘independent living’ schemes, and explicitly seek to accommodate people who need daily help. – there are some services which we can’t rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. However, a paid subscription allows more information to be added and as a result a higher profile score. This is the latest available inspection report for this service, carried out on 20th October 2009. It is an annual review prepared by CQC after examining previous reports and information from the provider. We have always had an excellent reputation within the town and our home is run by the residents for the residents. It’s divided up into two wings and we have a wonderful conservatory leading onto a small enclosed garden which was built following a kind donation by a resident six years ago.
