We also encourage staff and visitors to bring in their well behaved pets as most of the residents enjoy having them around. It is possible depending on the nature and type of pet for residents to bring them with them when they come to stay. There are 3 lounges, a sun room, large dining room and conservatory which leads on to gardens, an area for relaxing with family and visitors in the sunshine. There is a small well stocked shop, and we can arrange to take residents into the town to use local facilities if they wish to.
Highpoint Lodge is a family run Care Home, in a Victorian House situated near the town centre of Wadebridge. There are 9 single rooms with ensuite facillities and a double room ideal for a couple. Highpoint Lodge offers, day care, respite stays and long term living accomodation. There is no charge whatsoever to appear in it, and we welcome a photo and descriptive text to enhance the presentation of your home. Also known as Care & Repair agencies, are local non-profit organisations set up to help older people think about, plan, finance and organise work on their homes. These services tackle smaller repair jobs, including installing safety & security devices.
Mealtimes are an important part of the day and we offer a choice of menu with special diets catered for. This all happens in a relaxed and flexible manner and meals can be obtained at times to suit. Families may stay and have a meal with their relative for which there is a small charge. Meals are made where possible using fresh locally produced products.
Lilena Care Homes
St. Breock is a purpose built care home set within lovely grounds close to Wadebridge town centre. Local amenities including doctors surgeries, shops, banks, library and churches are in close proximity. Here at St Breock you will find a warm welcome with friendly staff in a homely environment to cater for your every need. We have 36 rooms 12 of which have en-suite facilities which could accommodate couples. Residents are encouraged to bring some of their own personal belongings to make them feel more at home. We have at present a very old cat called Tiggy and we have regular visits from the petting service.
The home is a large bungalow and therefore accommodation and facilities are all on one level. Care services offered to people in housing-with-care facilities are regulated, subject to periodic inspections and awarded grades. This is the latest available inspection report for this service, carried out on 20th October 2009. It is an annual review prepared by CQC after examining previous reports and information from the provider. We have always had an excellent reputation within the town and our home is run by the residents for the residents. It’s divided up into two wings and we have a wonderful conservatory leading onto a small enclosed garden which was built following a kind donation by a resident six years ago.
The inspector made no statutory requirements on the home as a result of this inspection and there were no outstanding actions from the previous inspection report. Surrounded by quaint Cornish shops and close to the picturesque Camel Estuary, St Breock represents a real community in its own right. "St Breock is a recommended residential home set in the heart of Wadebridge. We are proud to take care of our residents until the end, with excellent support from our local District Nurses and GPs. We have recently been able to open EAC Advice, a new 'housing options' advice service for older people. As with hotels, the cost of living in a care home varies widely according to its location, the size of your room or suite, and the facilities on offer.
